Ten networks to help you think about where to find the right events. I’m not suggesting using all of them but I’m hoping there may be a couple you hadn’t considered or had forgotten.

Ask yourself, which network has your chosen target audience (of people who share your particular interest) gathering together?

1. Eventbrite: While primarily an event management platform, Eventbrite is also a great way to discover and attend professional networking events happening in your area. I call Eventbrite the “Search Engine for Events”.

2. Meetup: Meetup is a platform that facilitates in-person networking events and meetings, bringing together people with similar interests and hobbies.

3. LinkedIn: Widely regarded as the leading professional networking platform, LinkedIn allows users to connect with professionals, join industry groups, and discover job opportunities.

4. Bumble Bizz: Bumble Bizz is an extension of the popular dating app Bumble, specifically designed for professional networking and mentorship.

5. XING: Popular in Europe especially German speakers, XING is a professional networking platform similar to LinkedIn, enabling users to connect with professionals and discover job opportunities.

6. CIPD Community: The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has an online community that offers networking opportunities for HR professionals and those interested in the field.

7. Young Professionals Network (YPN): YPN is a networking platform that caters to young professionals across various industries, providing opportunities to connect and learn from peers.

8. UK Specific, Professional Associations and Chambers of Commerce. In the UK joining industry-specific professional associations and local chambers of commerce can offer excellent networking opportunities. There are 330+ Business Improvement Districts supporting retailers in their respective local area.

9. Girl Gone International: GGI create safe, free communities across the world for women and non binary people of all ages so you can find new friends and feel at home wherever you are, wherever you want to go.

10. DanD.ai: Sign up to meet more people and make new friends local to you with DanD.ai here.
